Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been vocal about his criticism of PM Modi’s demonisation policy. In a recent interview with BBC Hindi, Kejriwal lashed out at a reporter when asked if the recent deaths in queues could be directly linked to demonetization. Talking to the reporter, he said, “Few of your colleagues in media, who still have the courage and integrity to ask people in the queues about the issues they are facing due to this move..The reporter interrupted in between and said he, as a journalist, was doing the same thing. “But it is also our responsibility to distinguish the right from the wrong. New Delhi: Spiritual guru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev says Hinduism is not a religion as there is no one book or papacy. Sadhguru says that it’s just a geographical identity and that anyone, irrespective of belief, born on this piece of land is Hindu. Hyderabad: A man robbed his owner by wearing Burqa in a bid to hide his identity. The act of Omprakash can defame Muslim women. Seeing the CCTV footage initially the owner thought its a Muslim woman but thanks to the City police who nabbed the actual man ‘Omprakash Anurag’ committed the crime. According to reports, the incident took place on April 26, in which the accused Omprakash Anurag entered the house of his employer ‘Srikanth’ wearing burqa. Srikanth runs a business of supplying gift articles to corporate offices. Voicing his secular views on the important issue, Javed Akhtar said that if the constitution doesn’t ask someone to say Bharat Mata Ki Jai it doesn’t even ask him to don a sherwani and topi. “He (Owaisi) said he will not say ‘Bharat mata ki jai‘ as the Constitution does not require him to say so. Mumbai: Sixteen people have been arrested so far on charges of assaulting two policemen who last week stopped locals from hoisting a “saffron flag” in a communally sensitive area in Latur district, police said today. A mob had allegedly beaten up Assistant Sub-Inspector Yunus Shaikh (57) and manhandled his colleague K Awaskar when they prevented them from putting up the flag at a controversial spot in Pangaon village. Shaikh was hospitalised following the assault. The 12000-strong population of Pangaon village consists of Marathas, Dalits, Reddys and Muslims among others. On the night of February 19, Shaikh and Awaskar allegedly stopped a group of local youths from erecting the flag in the “sensitive” area. The ABVP leader Rohit Chahal has shared the video from his Facebook account. The students can be seen shouting slogans in the video “Bharat tere tukde honge.. Bengaluru: A leopard entered a private school near Varthur here and attacked people, injuring three forest department personnel, including a veterinarian, officials said. The feline has been tranquilised after a day long operation, and the three injured persons, including a veterinarian, have been shifted to a nearby hospital, they said. It attacked a man trying to escape by climbing a gate. As he tried to ward it off, forest officials fired shots and the animal escaped. The feline was first spotted by CCTV cameras inside Vibgyor School at around 4:13 am. The school was shut today as it was Sunday.
