Turf war between Delhi govt and Centre likely to come up on Jan 31 in SC
The Supreme Court is likely to hear on January 31 the case pertaining to the power tussle between the Centre and Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government.
Senior lawyer, Gopal Subramaniam, appearing for the Delhi government, mentioned the matter before the Apex Court today and sought an urgent hearing into it.A bench, headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Jagdish Singh Khehar, said.
”We would hear the matter likely on January 31, Tuesday.” The Aam Aadmi Party government had challenged the Delhi High Court order in the Apex Court and sought relief from it. The High Court had ruled that the Lieutenant Governor (LG) is the boss of the Delhi government.
