Rupee holds the line against US dollar

Mumbai: The Indian rupee on Tuesday strengthened for the second session against the US dollar in mid-day trade, tracking gains in the Asian currencies markets.

At 2pm, the home currency was trading at 68.02 a dollar, up 0.12% from Monday’s close of 68.10. The rupee opened at 68.06 a dollar and touched a high and a low of 68 and 68.14, respectively. So far this year, it has fallen 0.1%.
