Indian rupee closes weaker against US dollar as Fed hikes rate

Mumbai: The rupee closed at 67.84 per US dollar—down 0.57%, its steepest fall since 11 November, from its previous close of 67.45.

The home currency opened at 67.77 and touched a low of 67.89 a dollar. So far this year, it has fallen 2.5%.
