Rupee weakens against US dollar

Mumbai: The Indian rupee weakened marginally against the US dollar ahead of the two-day US Federal Reserve meeting, which will start due later on Tuesday. Traders are also cautious ahead of key domestic macroeconomic data.

At 2pm, the rupee was trading at 67.47 per US dollar—down 0.09% from its Friday’s close of 67.42. The home currency opened at 67.48 against the US dollar. So far this year, it has fallen 2%.
