New Delhi: Congress Party is sceptical about the jailbreak incident where eight activists of the Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) escaped from the Bhopal Central Jail in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday night.

The party general secretary and former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh on Twitter questioned whether the incident is a government-initiated scheme.

“Did they flee or were they made to flee?” tweeted Singh.

He pointed out how the state government have failed in doing its duty.

Singh demanded an inquiry into the matter and called on Central government to take up appropriate measures to avoid communal riots following the incident.

All the eight convicts were gunned down by police near Eint Khedi village on Bhopal outskirt.
