Samajwadi Party leader Pawan Pandey expelled from party after clash with Ashu Malik

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader Pawan Pandey has been expelled from the party after clash with party MLC Ashu Malik for six years for indiscipline.

On October 24, bitter exchanges and personal attacks were observed in Samajwadi Party party meeting at Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s. MLC Ashu Malik claimed that he was slapped by a party leader Pawan Pandey at chief minister’s residence and informed that Akhilesh Yadav was not present when the incident took place.

“When I was at CM’s residence, party leader Pawan Pandey came and attacked me. He slapped me twice,” he said. “I was asked to show up as the chief minister wanted to clarify things related to the news article in front of people but my presence was misunderstood by others,” he added.

he 43-year-old Malik further informed that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had called me to clarify things related to a news article published in English daily wherein Akhilesh Yadav was referred to as Aurangzeb and SP Chief Mulayam Singh as Shahjahan when the incident happened.

Akhilesh’s uncle and Uttar Pradesh Chief of Samajwadi party Shivpal Yadav said that the party leaders have written a letter to UP CM Akhilesh Yadav to sack Pawan Pandey of the Ministerial position over clash with MLC Ashu Malik.

He further added that there are no differences in the family and neither in the party and that all of them are united. Shivpal maintains that there is no dispute in the Party and family and will follow whatever party chief Mulayam Singh asks him to do.

Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday said that there were no differences within the family or in the ruling party and they all were “united. He said he would not give even a single controversial answer, no matter how many controversial questions media asks.

”Our family is united, the party is united… We stand united with full strength,” Mulayam Singh said in his first media conference after Akhilesh sacked Shivpal from the cabinet.
