KCR to launch Siddipet district on Dussehra

Hyderabad:  Following immense pressure from the public for more districts in Telangana, the state government has agreed to consider the demand for new districts.

With Telangana government finalizing the number of new districts to 31, the development will come into implementation from Dussehra festival i.e. from October 11th onwards.

Currently, the final touches are being worked on, in terms of administrative norms. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed the officials to launch the new districts accordingly.

KCR met Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Thursday and elaborated the strategies adopted by the TRS government during the formation of new districts. The Chief Minister briefed the Governor of the inconveniences being faced by the government besides the demands made for more districts.

KCR would kick off the launch of new districts on October 11 by launching Siddipet with IT Minister KT Rama Rao launching Siricilla district.
