Gujarat: Another Pakistani boat with 9 crew members apprehended in Kutch

Kutch: Days after Indian Coast Guard apprehended a Pakistani boat with 9 crew members off the Gujarat coast, another Pakistani boat has been seized by Border Security Force (BSF) in Kutch.

According to initial reports, the BSF apprehended another Pakistani boat with 9 crew member from creek area of Kutch. The 9 crew members of the Pakistani boat has been detained and are being interrogated.

The Pakistani boat has been sized in the wake of Multi-Agency Centre’s warning to states sharing border with Pakistan that two suspicious boats have left Karachi port and are on their way either to Gujarat or Maharashtra coast.

On Tuesday, an empty Pakistani boat, which drifted into Indian territory, was seized by BSF troops from Ravi River in Punjab’s Amritsar district. The abandoned Pakistani boat was seized from Tota post area in the district.

However no suspicious item was found on the boat. Last week, Indian Coast Guard apprehended a Pakistani boat with nine crew members off the Gujarat coast. Coast Guard officials apprehended the crew members travelling in the boat as soon as it entered in Indian waters around 10.15 a.m on Sunday.

India has been on high alert following inputs on on possible attacks by Pakistani terrorist post surgical strike by Indian Army on seven terror launch pads along Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Ministry of Homes Affairs has issued advisory asking all states to keep tight vigil on borders and sensitive places.

Hours after Indian Army camp came under attack by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, Multi-Agency Centre had issued a warning that two suspicious Pakistani boats had left Karachi and are coming towards Indian’s side. The Indian Navy and Coast Guard have sounded and are keeping tight vigil to locate the suspicious vessels.
