Mercedes-Benz launches new GLS SUV at Rs.80.40 lakh

German luxury auto maker Mercedes-Benz on Wednesday launched the new GLS SUV at Rs.80.40 lakh (ex-showroom Pune) in the capital.

The GLS is the refreshed version of the outgoing GL Class premium SUV and gets a revised front with a new bolder grille, angled bumpers and daytime running lamps.

Also, the seven-seater SUV powered by an impressive 2987 cc engine that propels the car from 0 to 100 km in just 7.8 seconds, is expected to create a lot of buzz in the domestic market.

The car will also be available in new body colours and alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, it features a new three-spoke steering wheel and an eigh-inch touchscreen.

It has a 3-litre, V6 diesel engine producing 190 kW (258 hp) and 620 Nm of peak torque, motorised by the 9G-tronic transmission.
