Advocates Call for Boycott of Courts on May 10

Hyderabad: The Telangana Advocates’ Joint Action Committee in association with the Telangana High Court Advocates’ Association and districts Bar Associations on Saturday gave a call to boycott all courts in the state on May 10 to protest against provisional allocation list of subordinate judicial officers between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states and to burn the provisional list in front of the courts.

On May 3, the High Court registry finalised the list of provisional allocation of judicial officers between the two states. Telangana was allotted 335 judicial officers who are in the ranks of district judges, senior civil judges and junior civil judges, while AP was allotted 492 judicial officers. The notification said that the provisional allotments were made after availing options from the judicial officers.
