Karimnagar: Noted freedom fighter Mallu Swarajyam predicted that Telangana people would lock the ‘Gadi’ (house) of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Telangana people had a great history of revolting again landlords and locking their ‘Gadis’ by forcing them to run away from the villages, she added.

KCR, who was practicing anti-people policies, would face similar kind of situation very soon, Swarajyam opined while participating in the inaugural session of the two-day Telangana Agricultural Workers Union state-level conference held at Padmanayaka Kalyana Mandapam here on Saturday.

The CM was in a false notion that power was in his hand and has been implementing anti-people and anti-workers policies but the people, who were facing troubles in the villages, would teach a befitting lesson to him.

KCR, who made tall promises before elections, failed to fulfil his assurances such as three acres land to Dalits, double bedroom houses and other schemes, she alleged and informed that social oppression has been intensified day-by-day.

Earlier, inaugurating the conference, former MLC Prof K Nageshwar said that agrarian crisis was disproportionately impacting on rural poor especially agricultural workers. As a result, majority of small and marginal farmers were selling their racks of agriculture landscapes. Rural landscapes are ultimate crisis of labour and marginalisation of employment opportunities. Women still not paid equal wages. These poor agricultural labourers were seen triple exploitation of social exclusion of economical majors and general violence, Nageshwar said.
