Hyderabad: The way Viqar Ahmed and his friends were killed in fake encounter shows that police carried out the encounter in a planned manner. In a letter sent to Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court, on April 25, 2012, Viqar Ahmed’s father Mohammed Ahmed had expressed likelihood that his son would be killed in fake encounter while shifting to Hyderabad court from Warangal Central Jail. It must be noted police escort party led by Bhaskar had booked a case against the youth, on the charges of alleged attack on police party at Jungaon of Warangal district and escaping from police custody.

It is believed that encounter of Viqar and his friends was planned in 2012 itself. In a conspiracy the policemen wanted to shoot them and pass the incident off as a case of police shoot-out during an attempted escape. But the danger averted after Viqar’s father sent a letter to Chief Justice High Court in this connection. But during exchange of firing between SEMI and police in Suryapet, 4 policemen including a sub inspector were killed. Taking advantage of the situation police killed the 5 under trials.

Mohammed Ahmed in his letter had clearly told the court that police escort party was badly torturing the youth in judicial custody and police behaviour showed that the youth might be killed in fake encounter.
