Delhi elections: Prestige battle for Modi; Do or die for Kejriwal?

New Delhi: With the Election Commission (EC) having set the ball of Delhi polls in motion, all the three stake-holders–Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress– have given fresh impetus to their election campaign.

While Arvind Kejriwal is AAP’s chief ministerial candidate, the BJP seems to have decided to bank on what it calls the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Congress, which is not being counted as making any impact in the fight by political pundits, has also kept its card close to chest in terms of a CM candidate. However, the party, which ruled Delhi for 15 years, has given the overall campaign responsibility to its leader Ajay Maken.
