New Delhi: The BJP, which is riding high on the ‘Narendra Modi wave’, is likely to gain an absolute majority in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, a latest survey has predicted.

According to the survey, the BJP is expected to win at least 46 seats in the 70-seat Delhi Assembly in the upcoming polls, giving the party a clear majority. The party is also likely to get around 38 percent vote share.

Interestingly, BJP’s main rival Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is tipped to finish second in the electoral battle here and the Congress will be completely routed, the survey says

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which won 28 seats in the 2013 assembly elections, is now likely to win 18 seats this time around. AAP’s vote share is also expected to see a marginal decline from 27% in 2013 polls to 26% this time.

If the survey is to be believed then the Congress is expected to perform even more poorly than the 2013 elections, giving the party only 5 seats as compared to 8 last year.
