Official emblem for Telangana state approved

Hyderabad: The proposed chief minister of Telangana state K Chandrasekhar Rao has given a nod to the official emblem of Telangana the 29th state of the country. The emblem also includes Urdu besides Charminar. various models of Telangana emblem were presented before Chandrasekhar Rao. After the consultation with the officials he approved an emblem.

After oath taking of KCR as chief minister the emblem will be formally approved in the first cabinet meeting. Thereafter the emblem will be used on letter pads for all government letters. The circular symbol, has the word ‘Government of Telangana’ written in English, Telugu and Urdu along the circle. The emblem has Kakatiya Thoranam and Charminar in between the pillars of the arch. The words ‘Satyamev Jayate’ are written at the bottom of the Telangana emblem.
