Woman techie goes missing from home

Hyderabad Jan 25 : A woman software engineer was reported missing from the Jeedimetla police station limits in Cyberabad on Friday. The parents of the 24-year-old woman lodged a missing complaint with the police stating that she left home leaving a letter saying she will not return. Till recently, the woman was working at Wipro.

Jeedimetla police said Vijeetha left her Papireddy Nagar residence in Jagathgirigutta around 2 pm on Thursday after telling her parents that she was going for a job interview. However, when she did not return home even at 9 pm, the parents got worried. When they called her on her cell phone, they found that she had left it behind at home. They later discovered a note in which she said she was leaving home never to return and thanked her parents for bringing her up.

Police said Vijeetha has taken her passport and her educational certificates. “Though she left her mobile phone, she made sure that all the contacts in it were deleted,” sub-inspector Linga Naik said. Vijeetha had quit her Wipro job on January 2 this year. A missing case has been registered by the police and investigation is under progress.
