Hyderabad, Jan 23:

The Andhra Pradesh Assembly has been extended till 30 January 2014 after government had sought extension of the January 23 deadline by four more weeks for discussing and debating the Telangana Bill in the state Assembly before it returning to the President.

After opposing the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy continued his speech on the discussion over the Telangana Bill on Thursday. It was the last day for the Assembly to send its opinion on the Bill before its extension till 30 January.

Speculations are rife over the Chief Minister’s next move. His close aides suggest that he might resign after the debate on the Telangana Bill and float his own party.
